If you have been in recently, you may have noticed that things feel a little, well, old… As the new owners, we have decided it’s time for a bit of a “face-lift” at the facility and we want to tell you all about it!
Batting Cage Changes:
Right now our batting cages are 11′ wide and 69′ long. Our new cages will be expanded to 15′ wide and 72′ long, allowing us to split our cages in half giving us 12 cages instead of 6 which ensures there will always be a cage available to you. New turf, equipment, ball bags and L-screens will also update the overall feel of the cages.
Cage Netting Changes:
Have you tripped over the nets trying to get into the cages? Hit a ball into the back wall or through a hole? Well that won’t happen anymore! We are getting all new nets and an entire new netting system. Not only will all of our cages be split in half easily, but we will be able to slide all of our nets open, giving you more options for rental.
Layout Changes:
The biggest change that we are most excited about is the demolition! We are knocking down walls and opening the space up! This is what is allowing all of our cages to be longer. We are also moving the bathroom and opening up a back storage space making our main cage area larger and giving us 6 full-sized cages instead of only 5.
Weight Room Changes:
If you are a member of our training program, this is great news for you. We are getting new rubber flooring for our weight area and cleaning it up a little bit. We are also laying new turf for a new agility and arm strength area so when it’s 25 degrees outside you can run drills inside.
Equipment Changes:
We are updating our equipment as well and adding something new. All cages will have a designated ball bag, we are getting a new softball machine, new L-screens for each cage and new hitting mats. We are also adding a new baseball machine called an Iron Mike. It simulates an actual pitcher and keeps balls coming consistently without anyone feeding a machine.
